The Coldry tech could very well be a good BCE tech (in the lab)...but it is primarily a "batch" process and therefore will be limited to its output...especially if using waste heat...that can only dry so much BCE at a time.
To get the volumes that will be required to make the difference needed to ER whilst also being economical...the plant would have to be truly massive it would seem...and (by looking at the designs) I'm talking at least several football fields and 4-5 stories tall to get 200,000 tonnes p.a. ...or less than one weeks supply of coal burnt in LYA.
It just doesn't add up on several levels.
Now a "continuous" through put and output tech...well they may have a chance of producing enough BCE to meet ER targets and also be economical.
Time will tell.
