I don't have any official figures that I could quote you but the best way for me to gauge it would be referrals from sales of properties purchased by investors - and that's all investors because even if it the purchaser has said from the outset that they want to manage it themselves it's still sent through to me. I reckon it would be 1 in 20 maybe even 30 referrals. It's that low. That's in a very investment driven suburb of Melbourne.
Even then though alot of those purchasers will appoint you to lease it for you on a letting only basis and then they manage it. Then they come back years later for you to lease it again. They just don't have time to be doing the leasing side of things.
