I live on less now, a $100k a year pension from my super, even if subjected to around 20% tax + medicare levy because I am under the age of 60 is still higher than my current income.
$100k tax free for being over 60 is more than enough to fund the lifestyle I envisage having.
I don't need or want a fancy sports car, I don't need an extravagant lifestyle. I'm pretty laid back and down to earth.
Don't need or want to travel business class or first class. That being said I'd probably do it at least once when I retire just for the experience.
That is it in a nutshell for me, experiences are preferable to flashy possessions to me. We can't take anything with us when it is time to go in the box. I'd rather have experiences and memories of places visited and people met along the way.
