you seem to ignore the fact that if a retiree is not in a tax paying position , then seeing as the company has paid tax on his behalf , as a part owner of the company, when they shouldn’t of, ...then the retiree should get a refund.
What is worse, however, is the blatant and unfair treatment of retired SMSF holders compared to those with their money in an industry fund. It is clear what Shorten has in mind. Secondly , those on pensions earning the same amounts of money as a SFR will be better off.
As the late Kerry Packer said to a Senate Enquiry into taxation, .....anybody would be a fool to pay more tax than he has to, .....and I can spend this money a lot more wisely than you .
