Interesting article in todays Fin review about the good possibility that Labor will not have the numbers to pass the leglislation required to introduce non payment of cash refunds of franking credits and also negative gearing.
A survey of the entire cross bench , apart from Tim Storer (considering) is against both measures needed to pass leglislation before 30/6/2019.
If Labor wants to pass the measures after July 1 2019, it and the Greens will most likely need to win joint control of the Senate at the election because the handful of crossbenchers who are serving six-year terms and who will still be there after July 1, are opposed to both tax measures
