These strategies actually aren't directly related to the franking credits changes, but I certainly have a few friends who are near the margins and who wouldn't have bothered looking, now investigating. I assume from your post, you haven't done the arithmetic. Pop quiz, value of part pension for home owning couple with 600k? Then using a cap rate of 6% work out the assets needed to support that.
