I am in full agreement with Daicosisgod.
The directors in this company are far from independent and totally conflicted every which way.
The problem for shreholders - and I am not one - is that the ONLY way to get their attention is a vote against the Remuneration report at two consecutive AGM's.
If you are in for the long haul, then start organising for next year.
Two negative votes on the Remuneration report would cause a spill of teh Board.
While the incumbent clearly have the numbers to get themselves re-elected, the embarasment would not be insignificant.
I would agree that the Southdown Project should be spun out into a separate entity with most of the cash. All shareholders to get shares on a one-for-one basis. MAybe do a cap raise and a sell-down for anyone wanting out at the same time?
GRR could then become a kind of "Royalty" company that just paid out 100% or free cashflow.
The valuation would be much higher than the current share price.
Perhaps someone needs to approach the Board with a proposal????
I might even dream something up myself.
The entire Board are on a very comfortable gravy train and they will all continue to "play nice" with their Chinese keepers.
As if you did not know it, the property JV is probably a very nice little earner where shareholders bear the downside risk and others will get all of the upside..........
Maybe GRR should start a bank as well?
Perhaps they should just buy $200m of bank shares and really turbo charge the dividends flowing through to shareholders.........
The possibilities are endless.
Why not turn the company into a LIC?
Bugger being in mining........its all too cyclical and capital intensive!
At least soem LIC's trade at a premium to NTA!!!!
Good luck folks - you are going to need it with this Board welded in place.
Yeah - no skin in the game - Zero downside and 100% upside.
