National Leisure and Gaming (NLG), Australia’s largest specialist hotel and gaming owner is out performing its competitors with news that two of their venues are in the top five gaming venues in NSW, as reported by the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing.
Despite troubling times for the industry, NLG is producing results that are now back to levels not seen since the smoking bans were introduced.
"The September Quarter results confirm our position as one of the leading leisure and gaming groups in the country,” commented Andrew Jolliffe, CEO of National Leisure and Gaming. “The results represent the successful implementation of our group gaming strategy which has been very well managed by our designated gaming team; who have engaged both venue staff and clientele alike.”
NLG strengthened their grip on the states top 200 Hotels with positive movements in the majority of their top performing venues. The management at NLG continue to adopt strategies which prove successful. Almost 10% of the venues listed in the states top 200 are owned by NLG.
“Whilst NLG maintains its billing as the state's most successful gaming operators, by virtue of enjoying the highest number of top 200 hotels in NSW, gaming is only 50 per cent of our revenue base and similar macro group strategies now apply to other revenue streams," continued Jolliffe.
