My micro biotech (cdy) currently has some chance of posting a profit for the year. I'm not saying it will post a profit as the timing of R&D rebates and the value of any new licence deals and milestone payments this quarter will play a part.
What I can't get my head around is the reluctance of the market to acknowledge revenue and expected profitability as a basis for valuation. In a risk averse and still illiquid market I can sort of understand why positive news is often overlooked ... but profitable operations are profitable.
There are certainly no bubbles to be popped from where I sit. Indeed if the broader markets do go pop, demand for cancer diagnostics (and the like) may not be significantly impacted.
Are there any other micro biotech profit makers out there?
