Can anyone who knows how to read financial statements confirm that profit is being compared to pcp.

The manner in which they have stated the growth is perfectly consistent with conventional practice, so nothing duplicitous about it.

You could easily establish this by checking the previous financial reports.

I think what might be causing you some uncertainty is that they use the phrase "equivalent prior period" but what that really means is "pcp", as we all know it.
