Not rough at all Tin. This is investing 101, not a cupcake baking group.
The psychological concepts are well documented and adhering to very basic tenets is often better than investing further emotional capital exacerbating a cash flow issue.
I lost on XYZ and XYZZ, earlier this year. I SOLD, took the loss, and moved on. My albeit diminished new investments made up the losses and more.
These things eat at people's insides, especially as they see equities on their watchlists go freener everyday.
Clearly, there are different measures of what constitute "rough." My post in response to a self-serving post is apropos and helpful; with no malice attached.
