I think the question is around scientific integrity and the public having an expectation that there is robust debate before we spend billions of dollars rectifying a problem which may or may not be there. If there is damage to the coral lets get real information rather than cherry picked data, and allow for evidence which may not support the agenda. This case is showing why science can no longer be relied upon.
