Trick or treat, with the onset of Halloween, we move one step closer to the 'finance announcement'. To some, this announcement is their sole purpose, their life's work, their best opportunity to make it in this world.

The correct stock selection is hard work, it's challenging, and can at times be quite exhilarating! For me, RES is more then a stock, it is more then a vehicle to financial freedom, it is my 'family'. Yes, you read correctly, I have formed a strong relationship with RES. Let's consider this further.

When you have explored, considered, calculated, reviewed, and committed as much spare time over a decade as we have on this stock, a relationship forms. That's inevitable! With this in mind, I did some research. In one study I read, the average amount of time a father spends talking with their children is less than nine words a day. This must have been an old study as it would be ZERO words today, as we now communicate via social media or phone. So, my relationship with RES takes on a strong, profound, parental look. RES, by default, I am now your Dad!

It takes countless hours developing a relationship, I have often left RES in the hands of professionals. Our current support network of RES (executives) are due to make an announcement (a finance announcement). Understandably, and due to the past TEN years organising this finance, RES and I have grown close. What does this mean for RES and I? Well, I believe, I am comfortable with the idea that we put our life on hold for family. I have purchased enough units in you, I have today accepted my life long devotion to you, now I wait, we wait, and we all wait in anticipation that we will see the fruits of our labour.

For those shorters in the market, you will never experience this relationship, and you may not understand what I am writing here, so please just put a little 'up yours', I mean 'thumbs up' that is found down the bottom left and scroll on...this post of holding onto something that is meaningful is foreign to you.

So where am I going with this?

Well, there comes a time in your children's life when they decide to 'Leave the nest'. RES, I understand you have grown up, I have nurtured you, I have helped you build your SHARE PRICE. I am not admitting to be perfect, I have some flaws! I may have let you down a little in the share price department, for this I apologise. With all this in mind, It is time to let you go, not entirely, but I would like you to go out on your own, to stand alone, to fend for yourself. With all that I have provided you, It's time for your next chapter in your life.

Now to get to the point, RES, It's time for you to begin 'mine operations', I am here to support you, as I have always been. As a parent, this is difficult to write, but, you must either pay board (dividends) to contribute to this family, or preferably show me that you can survive in the real world. As a parents a return for our time and effort is enough in watching our children grow. RES, as a parent, I understand my role is not a paid job, but I would like you to not rely on my unrelenting financial support. It's time to accept that you must take a loan, accept the conditions of the finance, and stand on your own two feet. I will be by you side, but I, like the rest of your extended RES family want to see you enjoy the world and all it's spoils. Go out and experience this wonderful thing we call 'life'. To be clear, this not an exit, but simply a separation request.

RES, I trust you can begin mine operations! I have complete faith in your strengths and ability to produce coal. We have talked about this for many years, you have trained for this all your life. I am confident in your ability to move into full production. Today with no regrets, but deep sadness, it has come time to let you go...be FREE my RES, you are ready...

Should anyone have the contact details for professional support, to provide help for separation anxiety for man and his stock, I would appreciate if you would forward the details to the RES forum. There are many RES shareholders that may be experiencing this anxiety. That being said, I am not sure there would be a large enough professional body that could cope with such a large influx. After all, there is a ten year queue of us!
