Well, as SuperTramp says, we already know that the Phase 1b trial was a success - meeting both the primary end points extremely well, and meeting the exploratory outcome related to immunogenicity.

The final exploratory outcome related to actual impact on the tumour is certainly a very "nice to have" but when they say it is "exploratory" they mean exactly that. The Phase 1b was a relatively short duration dose escalation trial, with a small number of participants, who only started on a relatively low dose. So - you just cannot get Phase 2 or Phase 3 conclusive efficacy results from a Phase 1 trial.

There won't be any "patient cured" claims here. At best we will get some encouraging indications related to tumour size in some of the patients, with warnings that the result could be due to a range of factors and cannot be considered conclusive in any way. If we get that much I will be delighted, but I won't be at all disturbed if we don't. I'm more interested to hear what they say about the strength of the immune response.

Anyway - time will tell, as always...
