production up 22%

StockMarketWire.com - Continental Coal run-of-mine coal output rose to 573,253 tonnes in the three months to the end of December - 22% up on a year ago.

Year-t-date run-0f-mine output increased by 20% to 1,199,439 tonnes.

Sales for the quarter were 3% up on a year ago at 461,918 tonnes while year-to-date sales were 21% higher at 1,033,320 tonnes.

Continental says Penumbra production isexpected to achieve design capacity in April and Vlakvarkfontein is on track to meet production and cost guidance.
