Vale is a mean operator , this is home turf and we don't know their possible linkages with the new Pres who is very much pro Mining. All my conjectures of course .

Vale will also wait to see the Salobo exploration results over time , my gut feel is this can be a top 10 mine if not better in the world ( again my conjecture ).

if copper cycle clicks by late 2020 as I expect and if Salobo also clicks by that time , all bets off where CTM can go then. I am going to wait 3/4 years max to see how it pans out.

Then u have itapitanga success , pebas may click , a lot of value in I/O assets and in the gold bull market , mgmt will go back to Sierra again.

I do have a few experts as my friends and my post on the S&P500 was drawn from their take , kindly give it due weightage .

Basic thing is whatever we generally expect happens but over a much longer time frame and the regular human minds quit much earlier as they are unable to live with the uncertainty . for example if investors are told CTM SP will hit AUD 0.50 by 2021 , every one will hold it patiently till then . Kindly understand our weakness is inability to live with long term uncertainty and that is where the big fish score over us , but they have the inside info what is going to mostly happen ,so they have no problems in waiting much longer than us retail.
