There's just enough truth in this to make the deception sound plausible. Look at the IOC/XOM announcement. Look at Chandler buying up IOC. Witness fact that EWC FID is still end June and that based on IOC/XOM developments, EWC in Gulf LNG looks possible still. Look at innuendo and inferred impropriety of Micah...reeks of a plant by a sore loser.

EWI is not the parent of EWC. EWI initially (and then EWC), under the contractual arrangement between the two, have been working at this PNG Power tender process for nearly a year that I'm aware of. Can't remember exact details, but I think it was done via the World Development Bank assisting the PNG Govt.

The Post Courier "The Drum" reported recently that the Govt had short-listed 3 parties through the formal process and the Minister announced the outcome in parliament soon after, which is where the original reports via the press originated from.
