I have a theory about emojis, @mackerel ... Language has always evolved, and over the past 20-30 years, written communication has overtaken verbal in frequency and possibly, importance.
Unfortunately, although we write more words to more people than ever before, we haven't figured out yet how to convey inflections and tone and intent. I predict that in the next 10 years, emojis will be commonplace in business language, as they can help to clear up the common misinterpretations that occur when different people read different words
Also not sure if this one will show up: ♂️
It's a facepalm. Because judging a post or poster on the use of emojis - an evolution in communication - sounds dumb to me. But maybe I'm just a dummy too
