I guess a RTO has a lower profile so for those companies looking to raise larger amount of funds, IPO makes more sense.
There were numerous RTOs on dog mining stocks in 2015 so it really is a 'flavor of the month' type thing. Some have been huge; some less so. But in all cases there was hype which saw SPs rocket at least for a little while.
