You are spot on. There is NOTHING new about converting analog signals to digital. Even Minidiscs back in the day was in the game of converting analog to digital. Put it on a piece of silicon and it all sounds high tech. Further their IP will expire and the real value in the chain (in other words pricing power) is not converting analog to digital ffs.
This is a marketing hype.
