I would take that announcement with a grain of salt. The speed of approval through the Coordinator General (under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act (the SDPWO Act)is a much of a muchness when compared to approval under the Environmental Protection Act.

The intention is they 'coordinate' the process and 'facilitate' a faster approval but in reality they are just as swamped with project assessments as the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (EHP - former DERM, former EPA) ;)
