Thanks cookie. Have been watching this accumulator at work over the last couple of months and are on to some of their tricks. Have you noticed on crossover after 4pm the share price is constantly being manipulated by changing his buy sell bids until he gets the matchup he wants. It must be algo trading as it is just too fast. the final matchup is usually only one share difference by 4.10 so for example today he grabbed the final lot at 60'5 rather than 60. Everytime a bidder came on to increase the price the sell orders would be adjusted to drop it back to 60.5 but only by one share. e.g crossover matchup is saying 20000 bid at 60'5 and there are a total of 20001 shares on the bid at 60.5. This constantly adjust until the final sec. Sometimes he moves the price up and sometimes down but have noticed this manipulation regularly of late.
There are always a number of similar orders on both the bid and offer usually a cent or so from the current price. Looking like accumulation behaviour IMO. Todays lucky number was 8572 repeated in multiple orders all day. They seem to like numbers with 8 in it too I have noticed. Maybe Chinese ?
And as mentioned the 412 drip feed down yesterday taking advantage of the low volume and lack of sellers to push the price down on a public holiday IMO.
Will research myself but if any longterm holders here from before the crash would love a quick rundown on what has changed fundamentally for them over this time. I am mainly a chartist but are aware of its NTA, NAV etc.
Was doing well this morning until the general market turndown. Then the tree shaking started again. This is a great stock to trade as well as a good longterm hold IMO. Has held 58-60 well over the last couple of weeks considering its stellar rise already this year. With the futures screaming green at the moment should be a good day tomorrow.
Have also noticed that the capper rarely seems to pull his bids but rather seems to buy right through them. Possibly to give the illusion of greater volume occurring when they want it to run. Or it could be two or more separate parties trying to accumulate.
