In the 2000s Vioquest Pharmaceuticals were trialling TCN-P. To me it looks like a hyped up story doing the rounds through various shells (companies).
There's no doubt that TCN-P has anti-tumour activity, a lot of the biochemical studies were done in the 1970s and hence why the NCI decided to put it through the rigorous trial process. The major setback was that the compound was found to be toxic (presumably because TCN-P is a purine analogue)
