I think people were mislead into thinking the study had more cachet than it actually did. It was a small study with a huge drop out rate which makes it tough to draw anything clinically meaningful from.
Professor Carrick, no doubt a smart man, has been given his professorial title from small Chiropractic colleges. He established his own centre and brand of Chiropractic (Chiropractic neurology). Not that any of this discounts his research with this device, but it gives some context to why such an apparently great product has failed to produce any ripples in the huge Autism treatments lake.
I'm glad I stayed away after reviewing the study. However, if the product can improve quality of life for Autistics, then that is a great thing. I haven't seen anything to indicate that to date.
