Perhaps the price is depressed because of some idiot intellectuals who wrote a paper to the NT govt. urging them to stop all fossil fuel use and development. Should the NT govt. heed this monumental stupidity the energy price rises will cripple industry and cause immense hardship for millions. Australia already has huge sovereign risk piling up. The big aluminium smelters and steel mills are moving into negative territory because of high energy costs which means they'll leave the country. Unless govt heeds common sense the tragedy of nations without cheap reliable energy will be vested to Australia.
