i did an analysis of dnd tips the other day and found that of 11 tips, only 2 weren't solid performers. these two were both in the dollar range (instead of below $1) and both rose less than 15% on the first day. I also found that any that have not put on at least a further 10% a week from the closing price on the first day of the tip (i.e. on top of the initial spike) tend to perform poorly but do not drop significantly. the majority spike up the first day and then don't stop, putting on between 20 and 40% within the first month. once again, that 20-40% is on top of the closing price f the first day after the tip, so on top of the spike.
so far, EVG has spiked 30 somthing % on the first day but hasn't moved much. i will be reassessing next week. i'm still refining my analysis.
but i generally wouldn't wait, given the stock is a low price and had a good first day.
