Qld gov had pressure put on it for the rail to made more efficient by Large Mineral co's.
The only way to do this is to commercialize it. So what is it's value, only to serve as cost save for Mining co's to get their freight to the coast as cheaply as possible.
The Qld Gov has cleaned up and now has left QR to the market to be dealt with.
Just remember there are already other rollingstock co's and freight haulers operating on their lines already. QR has come under severe pressure in the last five years to be more efficient.
The only place the share price is going is down, just like Telstra until it's broken up and sold off.
Good Luck suckers, feel bad for the Metro in Brisbane, best in Australia in my opinion.
Also being an ex employee I dont want to see happen to it what is going to happen as QR provides much needed jobs in rural and country area's as well as first class passenger service(best in OZ).
