Your question is a valid one. I was only hypothesising and asking questions related to that hypothesis.

My thinking is, the share price miraculously jumps (agreed on thin turnover) and then, just as quickly evaporates. It just seemed suspicious to me.

With the still unanswered, and I now assume valid, accusation that the directors were "creating a false market" in NuSep shares, I was wondering if they did buy it up to create a false impression of positive, after the negative of being suspended and the poor financial reports, including a fairly sizable loss?

So my question really related to whether they would need to declare it or not. You suggest not. Hence my question is, "Is there any manipulation of the price going on here?" Why would someone come out of the blue, and pay up to 7c, when they probably could have sat around and waited to get them at 6.5c or even lower, as Jukes has pointed out he is prepared to do? This "swoop" into the market benefits who most? Not the buyer, who paid a higher price than they otherwise could have. Not any new sellers, because they can no longer get 7c. But, the last sale being at 7c and the price being 'up on that day' could well create a false impression of NuSep's price and liquidity.

So who benefitted from the price going up as it did?

That was my thinking, driving my questions. Hope that makes sense.
