Sanders the exerpt you posted is from mid last year. A lot has happened since that time. Its not relevant to the intentions of sales unfolding now.
GlobalX are not swapping to follow another index again or dropping furher to meet Solactive anymore.
They have already sold down to their correct % holdings to do this many months ago and stopped.
Its now about the Solactive Index they are now following removing GGG entirely from their holdings (for the reason Ive detailed above) GlobalX have spotted it in Solactives Januarys rebalance. So GlobalX are following suit so to mimic the index.
So the current shift in Global Xs holdings is not the same as when they swapped to apportion to a new index.
What truly matters though is the tiny parcel that remains and that the selling of roughly 100 million is basically over.
