Exploration Drilling Identifies New Zones of Mineralization at Salman with intersections up to 24m @ 6.1 g/t gold.
The Directors of Adamus Resources are pleased to announce that recent exploration drilling within the Southern Zone has not only extended mineralization along strike, but has also identified a new zone of mineralization situated to the west of the Salman Shear. The recent discovery suggests that mineralization within the Main Salman Trend is not just confined to the Salman Shear itself but also exists within structural features parallel to the Salman Shear. Results from the Company’s first diamond holes at Salman have also been received with drilling confirming the geological model and intersecting substantial mineralization at depth including 33m @ 2.3g/t gold. The table below summarizes significant drill intersections derived solely from exploration drilling, targeting either extensions of existing zones both down dip and along strike, or new zones which have never been previously drill tested. The exploration drilling has now confirmed that mineralization is continuous between the Central and Southern Zones extending over at least 1,000 metres of strike and remaining open to the south. The Company’s geological team has now mapped the Salman Shear over the entire length of original Salman tenure and for at least 2 kilometres within the recently acquired Akanko Prospecting Licence. The extensive mapping exercise has delivered the Company numerous “walk up” RC targets over a strike length of nearly 7 kilometres. Both RC and diamond drilling targeting the Salman and Anwia deposits is on-going with results from the current drill program being utilized to calculate the first interim resource estimate for the Company’s Southern Ashanti Gold Project.
