    Powerlan in talks over funding

    Sydney - Friday - April 22: (RWE Australian Business News) -
    Directors of Powerlan Ltd (ASX: PWR) say they are in discussions with a
    group of investors, led by the CPS Group (www.cps.com.au), to provide
    funding for the discharge of current secured creditors and provide
    additional working capital.
    It is proposed that this funding will be provided through the
    issue of convertible loan notes, which (subject to the approval of
    Powerlan shareholders) shall be convertible into ordinary shares in
    Powerlan.
    It is intended that final agreements will be executed over the
    next week.
