I take issue with capex idea as in Australia at least the Taxi owners are individual owner investors who use contractors to drive their vehicles when they don't want to whereas Uber has only owner drivers so no capex at all is required just as in Uber
The booking groups which used to be co-ops but that's long gone are booking agencies who became non responsive to consumer demand and a bunch of rent seekers.
