Privates landlords can use REA. They can appoint an agent to do a Letting Only for them. For anywhere between $100-$300 (dependant on the packages the agent uses) they get access to all major websites. The agent will then charge them anywhere between 1.5-2.5 weeks rental as a letting fee. The agent advertises the property, processes application forms, has all lease documentation executed and is most cases also does the condition report. They then hand over the keys to the tenant, send all documents to the landlord and hey presto - the landlord can manage the property themselves.
