hmmm, so management were comparing the area to OK Tedi and now this:
Independent Geophysical Consultant's Irak Prospect 3D-IP Interpretation Report
The resistivity anomalies (Figure 2,4,5,7 and 8) may represent vuggy and massive silica grading out to alteration and coincident lower resistivity halo. The interpreted silica bodies associated with high resistivity correlate with gold mineralisation within other known high-sulphidation epithermal deposits including Wafi-Golpu and Martabe in North Sumatra.
I really think we are onto something significant, just need to get them drills into the ground over the entire area to find out how big this thing really is and how deep, exciting times ahead. So how big are these other two deposits ??
WAFI GOLPU is owned by Newcrest/Harmony - The all-up resource estimate for Wafi-Golpu and the Nambonga deposit now stands at 22.9 million ounces of gold, 7.46m tonnes of copper and 42.4m oz of silver.
MARTABE - The resource base includes 7.86 million ounces of gold and 73.48 million ounces of silver and there are seven known deposits within a 30 km² area with Purnama the largest so far.
