I still don't get it
If the announcement is bad then doesn't it mean the fact they put in a trading halt is an admition of insider trading?
Basically they've said (if the news is bad) no, we don't know why the share price has dived, but we do have a price sensitive announcement coming out on Friday, so just in case some people have prior knowledge to this and are trading on this information we will ask for a trading halt.
does anyone else smell fish????
