charg,
The 3 - 5 year timeframe was based on my experience as a financial auditor (My previous job). Most companies I audited would depreciate their IT equipement over 3 - 5 years. Admittedly I did not audit any cloud service providers, so the 3 - 5 years was mainlly for computers and on site servers.
I have had a quick look at Amcom and Vocus and both used rates of 5 - 30 years for network infrastructure. It is improtant to remember that this includes underground fiberoptic cables and data centres for these companies.
It all depends on what type of fixed assets Bulletproof actually have. I'm not convinced that they own their own datacentre, as their core strength is the provision of cloud services, rather than the physical provision of the storage and capacity. I imagine that the fixed assets that they have are more likely to be computers and a server. I could be wrong though.
It may be best to build some sensativity into your profit estimations.
