What I would like to know is how they managed to spend $700k on exploration & evaluation during the last quarter?
How?
That is diamond drilling style cash burn...
Although the quarterly read all very hunky dory, I'm not holding my breath about seeing ANY progress on Derewo during this quarter.
When I read that something has been referred to a higher authority, it makes me nervous about how much control they actually have over the region and the people.
I hold a large amount of options so I am as interested in anyone else for this to go up. BUT, like everyone else, I have been waiting a long, long, long time for any progress to be made by the company.
The Mintails deal was always going to be a problem - I said that eons ago. And until that cash is sitting in the account, it wouldn't surprise me to see further issues.
Fingers crossed they stick to what they wrote in the Quarterly and we get some sort of update from Derewo within the week.
I have it on good authority that there has been a buyer looking to accumulate a large position over the past few months. That may explain the unscrupulous tactics we are seeing on the sell side. But I've been watching the trading closely for some time now and since the price broke below $0.04, the volume has been miniscule. Their treeshaking tactics don't appear to have achieved much.
Confirmation of cash received from Mintails will alleviate any concerns regarding raising capital to continue efforts at Derewo in the short term. I'd expect that to spark a reaction from the market. And of course, the moment we've all been waiting for - some sort of guidance as to what is happening with Derewo
The biggest risk we face now, in my opinion, is that of dilution because of the delays suffered at the hands of Mintails - based on their unusual cash burn last quarter, a similar amount would chew through their remaining funds by the end of this quarter. Wouldn't surprise me to see some sort of capital raising, brokered by BGF/Cannacord at mates rates while the rest of us continue to hang on and wait and wait and wait....
Getting me angry just thinking about it.
But it's funny how these things have a tendency of playing out when you've been with a company long enough.
