if you look at the announcements prior to yesterday's they talk of perforation and flow testing occurring. no mention of the possibility of fluid they knew was in the well preventing a flow test. no mention of fraccing that apparantly was considered likely and budgeted for.
yesterday's announcement also lacks some clarity around the next steps. the fliud is to be removed, and acid injected, then results from this process are to be used to design the fraccing plan - does this mean that further flow test will be conducted to determine if fraccing is necessary, or will some otehr test be used ? does it mean that fraccing may not be necessary ?
i get the feeling that they were hoping to hit the jackpot yesterday and were then planning to issue further announcements around fraccing increasing the flow rate. not to be, but i don't think this means we're out of the game - we just missed a penalty in injury time, now it's on to extra time.
