the company has already publicly stated that they are looking at ways to limit takeover possibilities. They are talking to IB's to find poison pill options. To me that is not looking after shareholder interests. A company should look at all possible avenues to enhance shareholder value, and if a merger or TO were to be put forward, that is enabling a takeover premium at the least.
I suspect takeovers in this and the commodity space (in Aus at least) won't be coming for a while. It is time for prudence, not spending
