Further potentially good news for oraline, from the SMH today:

"The federal Liberal MP and former Sydney hotelier Craig Laundy has called for drug testing outside pubs if that is what is needed to detect drugs such as ice, which he blames for worsening violence."
"Mr O'Farrell has said saliva testing would be introduced for violent assaults. NSW Police already use the Cozart Rapiscan unit for random drug testing of drivers, which can detect methamphetamine and steroids, and give a result in 20 minutes.
But the National Drug Research Institute's Steve Allsop said police would need to use a combination of tests for the evidence to be used in court and linked to a specific violent incident that carried a mandatory sentence. ''Saliva testing is less invasive than urine,'' he said. ''You don't have to watch. You can just swab on the street and it detects the presence of an active drug.''
But confirmation of a saliva screening result, using a blood or urine test sent to a laboratory, would also be needed, because of the possibility of false results that could be raised by defence lawyers, he said.
Urine testing can only detect the byproducts of drugs, indicating historical use, not current intoxication."
