If volume is strong (up at least 50%), trade as for breakaway gaps. Enter the trade early and wait for new highs (or new lows in a down-trend) to confirm the pattern. If there are none in the next few days then exit immediately – it could be an exhaustion gap. (Twiggs)
We're 12 days into the fall with strong volume (50%+) and a rising wedge pattern and no new lows. If we see a rally to $5.60 expect a strong rally and confirmation of an exhaustion gap.
Even better but highly unlikely an island cluster. In this case the stock would need some kind of positive announcement with an opening at $5.60. Yep I know I'm dreaming here. haha.
