Back on my selfish agenda- who might be chatting with Bard1 re blood tests
I spoke with a pathology company executive over lunch. They even kindly paid. I asked about the millions of blood tests and how they get in or out of the system here and Over Seas.
The response was I think worth sharing. "Webster and Baxter have the rights in Australia for all pathology consumables ( such as test tubes) Reagents are developed or formulated by the company which they sell to a licensed supplier there’s one in each country (not the pathology company ) the supplier then charges the pathology companies for the supplies .. and if they come in special tubes or special incubators they sell them through a suppler as well"
I know blood test are simple when required. I did not know it is possible to get paid twice if the test "come in special tubes or special incubators". My business supports GPs to arrange several hundred thousand of tests each year. We all know there is thousand of blood tests. If you want a look try Medicare Benefits Schedule BookCategory 6 (Hint start at about page 43!). There are several pathology Companies in Australian. With few exceptions they all buy supplies from the same Business which is my interest point from the first post in this thread as I assume this may be who BD1 is in talks with
We know as they have announced it that Bard 1 is chatting with a potential partner for supply and distribution of of ovarian, Breast and or Lung cancer blood tests. This has to occur for money flow back to BD1 if test are to be used by Doctors or via business like mine which work for Doctors!
The response from my lunch was easy for Baxter. It is Baxter Australia This is not an Australian company. NYSE: BAX is a 10 billion + turn over market Cap about 39.394B.
None of this came from BD1) Just my mussing and gossip promise. I do not know who is in talks with BD1. I do think It would not be just Australian companies interested but I am sure they are all watching if not talking.
Have a great weekend all. Lazer Tag and 10 pin bowling for an 11th birthday should be fun. The 10 plus kids sleep over will be.... ????? Would have run a marathon on Sunday morning but no leave pass due to the kids
