Like science, there is history and there is peer reviewed history.
Anyone can write history and like pseudoscience--- without good and generally accepted references--- the history is nothing more than pseudo-history and suitable for the recycling or compost bin.
Why did the Germans burn so many books? Were they afraid those books would make them look like a bunch of liars with an agenda.
