To clarify, minimum gross gain of 100% less min. gross loss of -25% = 75% net gain.
Maximum 170% gross gain less max. gross loss of -70% = 100% net gain.

I see how you've subtracted the max. loss from the min. gain to get +30%, but that's not how I've calculated it. This is due to the less pump = less dump reaction between possible positives and negatives eg. retracements that typically occur between news events may not be as deep if the SP does not reach the maximum % range.
