I noticed that EWC’s daily trade volume has increased...

I noticed that EWC’s daily trade volume has increased substantially in the last few trading days, especially since 7million shares came onto the buy side at 36cents and then at 38 cents. This new buying interest in EWC shares also coincided with a marked decrease in the daily shorting volume (ie. now around 5% instead of between 10 and 60%+) and an increase in the share price (from 33 cents to 38.5 cents).

I am just wondering whether this might be a sign that (some) shorters are starting to slowly buy back (some) shares which is evidenced by the fact that on 19 March, 2015 45.5million EWC were reported as being short, and one day later, on 20 March, 2015, this was reduced to 35.5million shares.

It is also interesting to note that, during the past few trading days, a blocking number of shares sits at 39cents which may indicate that shorters would want to entice other EWC share holders to sell at below that price in order to pick up such shares at 38.5cents etc.

Given that EWC expects to be able to make some substantive positive ASX announcements in the near future, this new market depth dynamics looks positive.
