At Buddy, we’ve built a platform for managing the world’s IoT data. We’re not an analytics company, we’re not offering insights – we’re the engine that takes raw data off any connected “thing”, hosts, manages and processes it, and makes it available to any BI, visualization, M2M or big data system.

A manufacturer of connected devices – say thermostats – might use us to make the raw data generated by their various products available in SAP, Salesforce, Tableau or Cloudera, and varying sets of data available to engineering, marketing, retailers and customer mobile apps.

About Me: I'm an entrepreneur with an engineering background. I'm a former professional pianist who went on to spend eleven years with Microsoft, before leaving to co-found Buddy Platform, Inc. I'm an Aussie living in (and loving) the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

There’s a massive tidal wave of data coming from connected appliances whose manufacturers are not big data companies and are ill-equipped to handle the volume, sensitivity and security requirements therein. These companies (such as auto OEMs, airlines, appliance manufacturers, telcos/carriers, industrial giants, mining companies, etc...) look to outside technologies to help them manage and derive value from the flow of this large volume of data, and that’s exactly what we do.

With Buddy – our customers can add a handful of lines of code to any connected device, and the data it generates can safely, securely and in real-time via our platform, be consumed in any BI, visualization, M2M or big data system. There’s no special silicon needed, no heavy agents, no risky proprietary security protocols, and best of all we can be retrofitted to an existing (update-able) connected device already in-market.
