Speculations and rumours seem to swing from one extreme to the other. The latest swing is towards EWC being involved in Interoil’s Gulf LNG project (see today’s comments on eg. shareholdersunite and yahoo IOC message board:

Phase II before Phase I??
What if:
TOT or other big-boy is our Gulf partner/Operator JV explorer and chooses big stick built plant in Gulf scheme, 2017/18 start up Phase I.
IOC/EWC/Mitsi modules are Phase II with build time of 30 mos.
Mitsi modues sized to provide fuel to PNG LNG and EWC initially and expanded to accomodate Phase I.
Even Phase III could preceed Phase I depending on exploration, as EWC is good to 8Mtpa.
IOC does have JVOA with Mitsi and PFCA with EWC in place and a billion in financing and coming upfront cash afterall.

Even I was surprised at the drop (over 10%) this week. Today's rumor is that IOC is going with EWC due to low bids and will need to do another offering of over 500 million next week.
