We have about 20 million cars in Australia and imagine they all went EV
even with a coal base power it would be impossible to charge even half of the vehicle at night or day for that matter
I don't think the hybrid cars have been a huge success
I can't see EV;s being a practical solution
unless you greatly diminish who can drive them on any given day
