    I could be wrong, Jant, but I seem to recall reading that the oil industry has been, and still is heavily subsidized. So given transport accounts for circa 30/40% of oil use, perhaps it is, or should be appropriate to pull the same percentage of oil subsidies from the oil industry and use this money to subsidize lithium and other EV/battery metals miners or battery processers to accelerate the cost parity of EVs and ICE vehicles? What's good for the goose should be good for the gander.
