not quite the case jant. Tesla’s new battery is comprised of individual cells which are about 1cm larger than the ones used in previous models . I think the new one is called version 7170? Something like that . Very slightly larger but holds 30 % more capacity, and lighter. So there are advancements being made all the time. 1970’s technology is a stretch. It’s like saying a new model bmw is 70’s technology just because it’s also called a car.
